SEEDS TO WATER
I was listening to an audio book, and I heard cease to water. Was it time to end watering. But I did not hear it correctly. Upon rehearing, cease to water became seas to water. Hmm, was it a meaning of whole to part. Again, I did not hear it correctly. Upon rehearing it for the third time, I now heard seeds to water. Rather than it being s strange phrase that was hard to explain, like the other interpretations, I now clearly connected it to my local backyard garden outside my window: the lovely garden that had grown from seeds to plants and vegetables with leaves and bodies. I understood that by looking at my local garden, that I was taken to a greater garden extending throughout the universe, full of energy waiting to be activated, like seeds waiting for water.
At that moment, the miracle of the growth of plants and flowers just outside my house window was a miracle of my desire and intent. Only three months before I had planted seeds in the dirt that where now full grown vines and flowers and plants were visible. Activated with water, these seeds had prospered and thrived.
I never thought of myself as a gardener, but I had taken seeds and watered them with love and attention, so now I am a gardener. The seeds had grown to full and vibrant plants and flowers. With the seeds grown, I took stock of what being a gardener meant, and I realized to be a gardener was more than just planting, watering and harvesting seeds and vegetables. A gardener gardening was then an act of energy that was part of a movement of creation, resulting in expansion. This expansion highlighted the never ending desire of seed to beget life, and intention to beget growth. My seeding of a small backyard was part of a grand cycle of life. In this grand cycle, my local garden was but one garden among many gardens of the universe.
With my birth into this world of a grand garden, I experience life from the singular viewpoint of my sensations and feelings. I am a person (i.e. Atman or individual consciousness). As a unique expression of life, I am a seed planted by God to experience life in the garden of God. God is my water, and I am drinking of the water of God to grow in my unique creativity. My life garden is a window into infinity, where every thought is a seed to water in an expanding universe.
